A Fantasy - PoemThe manifestation of my sweetest delusions
So free of frustration
A perfect concentration
So pure
A creation of my imagination for sure
For how else could there be somebody so beautiful?
Your presence does not cast out my solitude
Yet I am not alone when I'm next to you
The words that you speak
They are so sweet
Yet still by me in silence
You convey more than speech
And every distant hope and dream
Now has a face
Now has a name
So lost in the vibrancy of the afterglow
From when two spirits met and became one soul
So many moments converge into another in time
When a promise was fulfilled and you became mine
Being alone is now just a faded memory
As is the emptiness of persistent agonies
A gift from the heavens
So gently bestowed
Like the soft touch of a raindrop
Or a whisper of warmth
Finally I open my eyes and readily embrace the reality
You are here with me...

You are no longer a fantasy

Time line.The past lays broken into pieces,
the line of debris reaches from then till now.
There´s no retreat to sweep up this mess
of shattered dreams and crushed hopes.
Survey the shards behind you, what do you see?
Some look smooth and shiny,
they could easily be put back together.
Others razor sharp, they cut you to the bone.
Pulverised under foot the sands of time
whip up a storm, stinging your cheeks
parched and dry, evaporating tears can no longer fall.
As the storm subsides a thick layer of dust comes to rest.
You are here.
Say a prayer. There´s no going back.
